A couple expecting twins asked us to convert a long spare room two streets from Planty into a shared newborn nursery. High ceilings allowed stacked linen storage and two cribs without blocking the single window. Mint plaster above dado height and soft rose blackout curtains balanced the cool courtyard light; charcoal wardrobes hid the awkward chimney breast.
Installation finished six weeks before the due date so paints could cure with windows cracked during milder spells.
Toddler loft conversion in Kazimierz
An open loft above a former workshop needed a defined sleep corner for a three-year-old without building permanent walls. We used a freestanding wardrobe spine, a low bed with rounded oak edges, and a reading nook under the pitched roof. Acoustic rugs calmed footsteps for downstairs neighbours; a dimmable rail handled dark winter mornings before kindergarten.
Sibling bunks in a Floriańska-area kamienica
Two school-age siblings shared an eight-by-four-metre room with original parquet. A custom bunk used the full height while leaving a desk strip along the inner wall. Equal drawer banks and personal wall lights reduced bedtime negotiations. Stairwell constraints meant joinery arrived in modular sections assembled on site over two days.
Window-seat library in Salwator
Parents wanted a reading focus rather than a full redesign. We built a deep window seat with storage, forward-facing book ledges, and a soft rose daybed cushion. Existing pale walls stayed; mint paint appeared only inside the niche so the corner feels intentional. The project sat at the lower end of our package range because furniture elsewhere remained unchanged.
Finish refresh after a mould scare
A family in a damp ground-floor flat near the Vistula needed safer surfaces after a bathroom leak affected the adjacent child's room. We coordinated drying, specified breathable wall systems, replaced compromised skirting, and chose wipeable joinery coats. Layout stayed familiar so the child recognised the room; only the materials and a clearer play zone changed.
